amandarecker I have a few
photography magazines that I’m
not quite sure what to do with.
Subscribed since 2009. Any ideas? Any
locals need them for anything? #Portland

jennannalvarez @amandarecker you could
try donating to a photography class at your
local high school.

Jeffrey Kline: I carry a
backpack very similar to this
[Think Tank Photo Airport
Roller Derby] though mine is
larger. I carry two complete
cameras with plenty of lenses
and accessories for both;
3 strobe/flash units, two
portable tripods, and lots of
cables, batteries and other
paraphernalia for all this…
has always made more creative ideas much easier to come by. If you’re in an area
where the light or perspective only works in one way, then you’ve gone and let the
circumstances of your situation define the shot for you. I’ve never walked into a wedding
or engagement commission with a plan for what I was going to do ahead of time. I promise you
it’s a much more satisfying experience to create something out of nothing. It’s something that will
keep your creative flame lit for...ever. If everyone is on impossible mountaintops and waterfalls, be in
alleyways and suburban neighborhoods. #RFWPPItakeover @iamthesam
heyhails This is my favorite piece of photography advice I’ve heard. Definitely going to
keep this in mind!
realgoodweddings Thank you @iamthesam! I had thought I was crazy preaching this
exact message for the last five+ years so I am really happy to see it echoed here.
shabana.buwalda a beautiful and true message. Evolutionary leaps happen when
you’re in a situation that is limited.
rfwppi Len hails from Sydney,
Australia, and her design
background brings an incredible
sense of composition to her wedding
photographs. Her work is calm, light,
thoughtful, and feels like music to look
through. She and Vic make lovely art,
