“TORRENTIAL ELOPEMENT IN
TOFINO, BY DARING WANDERER [RF
WEDDING OF THE WEEK]”
ae Alysia Semrok: This has my heart
c I absolutely love Tofino…and
torrential downpours haha. Amazing
job, Jess Craven!
Rangefinder Magazine: For the January Power of Print issue, we asked
award-winning album-makers what special ingredients they’re using to
cook up top-quality (and top-dollar) albums. JoAnne Dunn, the photographer
and designer behind this album layout, says there are a few basics she
generally follows, but that “there’s always room to creatively break these rules
with good reason.” You can read all about it from Dunn, David Bastianoni,
Edoardo Agresti and Alison Carlino in the Jan. feature, “Laying It All Out.”
JoAnne Dunn: So honored... I started reading Rangefinder when I was
14 in the art school photography classes... Never in my wildest dreams
could I have imagined being published by the photography bible... no
words can express my gratitude. c c c
Ginny Kerr Sofen: The cake-cutting photo is such a metaphor for the
beauty and messiness and deliciousness of married life.

“A FAREWELL MESSAGE FROM
Allie Miller: Jason, I remember when I
first read your columns in the magazine
and your incredible personal attention
to someone who could have been lost in
a sea of thousands. You were probably
the one reason I regained the strength
to be inspired and attend WPPI and its
University one summer when I had the
most hardships. You made me believe—
thank you! You will do amazing things
and will continue to touch hearts and
souls at many levels. I am so ever grateful
for you! I will see you around!

“CAPTURING A MEANINGFUL
[RF PHOTO OF THE DAY]”
Jeff Kline: Good. It’s nice to know I’m not
the only one that might keep a “range” lens
such as the 25-75mm that I commonly use
on my Sony Alpha body. Very nice shot.
