It was a busy year with the On the Road conference this past summer, and after finishing up in Vegas, there was no time
to lose planning WPPI 2014! I am so excited to share some of the details that are
going to make this year’s annual pilgrimage
the best ever.
So what have we been up to?
We’ve designed a brand new look, plus
more to come! Check it out:
Be Part of the Conversation
We’ve opened registration and worked
really hard to create a conference that is
more than just listening in a classroom
while a speaker runs through a PowerPoint
presentation. This year is about “being
part of the conversation.” One of the great
things about attending a conference is the
interaction with peers, and opportunities
to ask questions and get advice. Using my
insight as first an attendee, then a speaker,
and now the director of WPPI, I’m working to foster more interaction than ever
this year, and I think you’re going to love it!
I’m also working to build the WPPI com-
munity and come up with ways for all of
you to connect. We’re going to have some
special meet-ups, great parties and plenty
of opportunities to network. I’m also going
to do what I can to help other groups get
together. There’s a lot of us, so anything to
help make our conference feel more inti-
mate is a priority for me. Connecting peo-
ple to groups like Shoot & Share (which
will be doing lots of fun things during the
tradeshow) is one example. I love the way
they (and other communities) educate in a
lively way that adds value to the conference
and makes you part of the conversation.
Each year groups from all corners of
the planet converge on WPPI with fun,
educational messages. I can’t wait to see
what you guys come up with. I’m tasking
all of you to come up with that new idea
that’ll make this year one we’ll never forget!
Each of you are what makes WPPI unique
